1. Acceptance

By using HueLab you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 13. We may update terms at any time; continued use = acceptance. Under 18 requires parental consent.

2. What HueLab Is

HueLab is an independent beauty discovery platform — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand listed, including Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Fenty Beauty, MAC, Dior, Chanel, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, or Amazon. All brand names are property of their owners, referenced under nominative fair use only.

3. Accuracy of Information

• Shade match % are hex color estimates — not guarantees of visual or formula similarity
• Prices shown are approximate — always verify with retailer before purchasing
• Product formulas and availability change; HueLab may not reflect current details
• HueLab does not verify ingredient suitability for your skin type, allergies, or conditions

3a. "HueLab Pick" & Match %

All match percentages and "HueLab Pick" designations are estimated editorial projections only — not guarantees of color accuracy, formula equivalence, performance, or safety. A "90% match" means hex color values are ~90% similar by our algorithm. It does not imply 90% similarity in any other way. HueLab is not liable for any purchase outcome.

4. Ingredient Data — Informational Only

Ingredient data is sourced from brand websites, INCIDecoder, and Skinsort at time of research. Formulas change — always verify the current ingredient list directly with the brand before purchasing. Ingredient similarity on HueLab does not mean products share the same concentrations or are certified equivalents. Consult a dermatologist before switching if you have a medical skin condition or known allergies.

5. Skin & Allergen Warning

A high match % does not mean products share ingredients, fragrances, or allergens. Always read the full ingredient list before purchase. Patch test every new product. Fragrance dupes use different aromatic compounds that may cause reactions even when the scent profile is similar. HueLab is not responsible for any skin reactions or health outcomes.

6. Affiliate Disclosure (FTC)

HueLab earns commissions through affiliate programs including Amazon Associates (huelab-20), Sephora via AvantLink, and Ulta Beauty via Impact. All "Shop on Amazon" and buy buttons are affiliate links, disclosed at each button. Commissions come from the retailer — your price is unchanged. Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings or database content.

HueLab is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. "Amazon" and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc.

7. Volume & Price Comparisons

Volume sizes (e.g. "50ml") and normalized price-per-ml savings are based on standard retail sizes at time of research. These are estimates — actual sizes and prices vary by retailer and may have changed. Always verify before purchasing.

8. Intellectual Property & DMCA

The HueLab database and content are proprietary. Do not scrape, copy, or use our data to build competing products. For DMCA takedown requests, email huelabapp@gmail.com with subject "Legal Notice" including: (1) the copyrighted work; (2) the infringing material location; (3) your contact info; (4) a good faith statement; (5) a declaration under penalty of perjury.

9. Disclaimers & Liability

HueLab is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind. We are not liable for skin reactions, financial loss from purchases, dissatisfaction with products, or reliance on outdated ingredient data. Maximum liability: $100 USD.

10. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Contact us first at huelabapp@gmail.com for informal resolution (30 days). Unresolved disputes go to binding individual arbitration under AAA rules — no class actions. Governing law: State of California.
